Best practices
- Utilize a variety of Content Blocks in your Page Templates: To craft a new Page Template, navigate to Organization settings> Candidate portal> Page templates> New page template. Here you can build your page with a variety of content based on the subject of the page and message you wish to convey to the candidate.
- Develop a standardized "About Us" page to be applied to all jobs: Your Candidate Portal is an opportunity to showcase your company's culture, values, and the unique personality that sets you apart. Crafting an engaging "About Us" page helps candidates align their aspirations with your company's core.
- Begin by establishing a comprehensive "About Us" page, featuring key elements such as your company mission, culture, and core values. For a truly unique and engaging experience, include a CEO interview or high-level company overview video and links to notable PR articles.
- Recommended Visibility: Always visible
- Recommended Tab Placement: After any tabs with visibility set to "When specified stage is reached..." and before a Job Description page.
- Example Candidate Portal About Us Page Preview:
- In this example, there are several content blocks, that when displayed together, make for an engaging About Us page for your candidate. Let's take a look at each block used in this example:
- Block 1: This block is using Custom text to introduce the name of the company and their mission. Font size varies to place varying levels of emphasis on each message within the block.
- Block 2: This block is an image that was repurposed from the company's own website. Feel free to repurpose existing content when it is relevant!
- Block 3: Like Block 2, this block is also an image that has been repurposed from the company's website. These images create a consistent flow between elements and add a polished look to the page.
- Block 4: Dividers can be used to break up content. Dividers are used to separate different elements in groups of content. They support visual hierarchy and help users scan related blocks of information. In this example, a divider is used to separate text and images from media.
- Block 5: Videos are an excellent way to showcase your company to candidates. Videos such as a demo of your product, an interview with the CEO, and recruitment videos are all examples of videos that showcase your company to the candidate.
- Block 6: Linked cards are an opportunity to link to existing websites, blogs, and news articles. Candidates can learn more about your company and it's trajectory.

- Recommended Tab Placement: After any tabs with visibility set to "When specified stage is reached..." and an "About Us" page.
- Content Tab order: Order Content Tabs with newer tabs at the forefront.
- Utilize drag and drop to reorder Content Tabs. There are three types of visibility for the content tabs: Never visible, Always visible, and When specified stage is reached. We recommend ordering the tabs with the newest, most relevant information at the top.
- Example: In this example, the candidate is currently in the Virtual Onsite stage and the Virtual Onsite Preparation Content Tab is the first tab that appears to the candidate. The candidate can still access the About Us and Job Description pages that are always visible, as well as the Phone Interview Preparation tab that first became visible when the candidate entered the phone screen stage
